1. Our Commitment under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not a major failure.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
2. When You Are Entitled to a Refund, Repair or Replacement
You may be entitled to a remedy if the item you purchased:
is faulty or defective
is damaged when it arrives
does not match the description or images shown on our website
In these cases, we will assess the issue in line with the Australian Consumer Law and offer a repair, replacement or refund, as required by law.
3. Bookish Bundles
Bookish bundles are curated collections of multiple stationery items sold together.
If one item in a bundle is faulty, your remedy will be assessed in line with Australian Consumer Law
We may replace the faulty item or provide another appropriate remedy
Variations in colour, minor design differences, or packaging across bundle items do not automatically constitute a fault
4. No Change‑of‑Mind Returns or Refunds
We do not offer refunds, exchanges or store credit for change‑of‑mind purchases.
This includes situations where you:
no longer want the item
ordered incorrectly
decide the item is not what you expected (provided it matches the description)
This policy is lawful, as the Australian Consumer Law does not require businesses to provide change‑of‑mind refunds.
Your consumer guarantee rights still apply if the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described.
5. Items That Cannot Be Returned
Unless required under Australian Consumer Law, we do not accept returns for:
used or damaged stationery
items damaged after delivery
clearance or sale items (unless faulty)
We do not impose unlawful restocking, inspection or processing fees for consumer guarantee claims.
6. How to Request a Return or Remedy
If you believe your item is faulty or incorrect, please contact us within a reasonable time of receiving your order with:
your order number
a description of the issue
clear photos where relevant
Via the form provided on the Contact page on this website.
We may request the item be returned before a replacement or refund is issued, where permitted by law.
7. Return Shipping
Where a return is required due to a failure under Australian Consumer Law, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs.
8. Processing Timeframes
Once your claim has been assessed and approved, we will process any refund or replacement within a reasonable timeframe using the original payment method where applicable.
